excellent if you are renovating floor (5mm) as DIY for own home once. not if professional.
Summary: Wonderful product if you want to install your own floors to save money, easy to use and assemble, no experience needed for cutting floors. not perfect, but gets the job done. Blade: we had no issues with this falling out, not even after we did all our floors ease of use: It's alright, it cut the old flooring up easily, which was even thinner and weaker than our new floor. The thicker, studier floors will take a bit more effort, but it will come off with a bit more force downwards. You will get tired if there is a lot to cut, so best if you have a few people going round depending on how much floor needs cutting. weight of machine: It's alright, bit heavy, but what you'd expect for renovation equipment. I'd say most people shouldn't have much issue handling this if you picked a few good locations and planned for where it sits so there is minimum moving around, the weight shouldn't bother you much. Any damage to underneath surface while in use: A bit, depending on what it's sat on and what floor you're cutting. Some of the thicker floors need more force to cut. that force makes the machine as a whole move downwards. If the surface it's on is too soft, it will leave dents behind. So plan accordingly. cuts in straight lines: Yes, all our floor is cut perfectly and all line up when building them together with no issue at all. It may not be perfect underneath, but you won't see that anyways. This is granted our flooring is all straight pieces, so it lines up perfectly with the ruler provided. does it work as a stand alone product to cut all flooring needs: unlikely. Unless the floor is installed into a room with no odd corners or bends, you will need some other cutting tools to cut those odd shapes out. I would recommend a cheap jig saw to go along with this purchase. But this product isn't useless as it will still save you a lot of time and sanity. As it 100% cuts straight with the in-built ruler. then jig-saw the long edges which you can hide the imperfections with various trims and skirting boards. Who should buy this: In my opinion, while this machine is great, professionals who have jig-saws or circular saws and rulers for floor cutting, they would find this machine bulky, clunky, heavy and useless. but this is definitely for someone out there. If the below list applies to you, this may be the perfect option to get compared to many others. Otherwise, You may be disappointed in the product. 1. The floors you want to install are relatively thin. apparently other reviews state anything above 12mm won't work. 5mm does work for sure. 2. You are a beginner and don't have a lot of tools. And you don't plan to buy many tools in the future. 3. you want to save money instead of hiring an expensive workmen to build and cut your floor. this is especially true if you have click flooring/glued on flooring which is relatively easy to install. 4. you plan on installing your own floor in a simple straight pattern. If you want anything fancy, you're more likely to screw up cutting in angles and wasting more money on extra floor panels. Just hire a contractor at that point. 5. you plan to do flooring once, then get rid of this machine afterwards. since it did it's job of saving money in contractor fees already. The machine is bulky to store otherwise and the blade it comes with really only last long enough for 1 job. 6. you have at least 2 rooms worth of floors to fit. Otherwise, a cheap machine saw will be more worth your money as the overall cost would be lower at the expense of time and a little sanity to cut straight lines. The last one thing I want to mention is this machine has one more use that may led you to buying this outside of floor installation. destruction and disposal. If you, for whatever reason, need to break down your old floors or anything in the shape of long boards that work with this machine, is lazy/have no tools for the job/need it done quickly. Such as reasons like, to fit them into whatever trash disposal system you need it to so it saves you money. This works wonders. Do a calculation, it just might save you money overall.

Excellent cutter
I have just completed the whole downstairs of my house and the cutter never failed to make a perfect cut on 8mm high density waterproof laminate flooring. Like some comments, I agree it can take a lot of force and the cutting makes an awful crunch sound. However, this is a small price to pay compared to sawing every end piece. And every cut was clean and straight. As long as you remember it is the piece on the platform that you keep which cuts clean, the off cut behind the blade is slightly rougher and frayed. With hindsight I would definitely but this again. Now to start upstairs, the blade does not seem to have dulled at all.

Miss leading product
It states you can cut semi solid, solid timber and laminates up to 12mm , not a hope , 8mm laminated flooring only . Not impressed at that price .

Pretty good tool
The tool is pretty good . It takes alot of pressure to cut 12 mm laminate and it leaves a small edge on the bottom of the board . So it doesn't cut the edge completely smoothly. After saying that, it does cut the boards and it is very clean and quick compared to a saw. So overall I'm happy with the tool. I'm a bit concerned about how long the blade will last.

Excellent
Arrived promptly. Sturdy and appears good quality. Some assembling required but very easy to get it together. By all means I am not a pro but DIY enthusiast and have to say this tool saved me so much time. No mess, no noise and easy to operate. Recently moved to 3 bed detached and installed all the flooring in no time at all. All LVT 5.5 mm. Can’t comment on how would it cope with laminate and anything thicker but for click vinyl tiles 5.5 mm this is perfect. Would recommend.

Poor performance and expensive
For what this cost I thought this was going to be amazing, but it isn't! I just can't handle 12mm laminate. Firstly it takes enormous force to operate the handle, and I keep thinking its goint to break even fully extended. Secondly and even worse it delaminates the laminate and is nowhere near a perfect cut. Get yourself a proper saw, admittedly it won't be as fast but it will certainly be better and cheaper!

Great piece of equipment. Very strong and does the job brilliantly. Made laying floor so much easier and quicker. Will be used again for more DIY flooring! Saved massive amount of money jnot paying someone else to fit.

Excellent laminate floor cutter
I bought this for a couple of big jobs I have to do. I've just finished the first one, 150 m2, and this cutter is excellent. Solid construction, light weight, very easy to use and very accurate. I wish I bought one years ago. It speeds up the amount I can lay in a day and it doesn't produce any dust, which is great. This is well worth the money.

It works well to trim the length of the laminate floor at different angles. It cannot be used to trim the board lengthwise since the maximum width it can accommodate is 13 inches. The cut is not as smooth as a miter saw cut. It splits the layers a little and is rough but the cut is good enough. You can avoid having to run in and out of the house for every cut and reduce the dust too. Note that this tool is good to trim the length of the board with one straight cut and it will not help with trimming the width of the board (long cuts) since it has a post on both sides of the blade. I am not so happy with the quality of the cut but happy that it is saving me time and energy.
