Great flat black paint for trim
I purchased this paint to black out some of the chrome emblems and trim on my car and it came out perfectly. This paint has an excellent flat black appearance that is exactly what I was looking for, definitely recommend it. The can also has an good spray tip that helps give a smooth application, not the cheap plunger types you find on inexpensive spray cans.

GOOD STUFF
Have use this on the black trim around my car windows, faded by the sun, and they came out very good. I originally taped off and sprayed it on but found a better way to touch up the trim which is narrow. I spray the paint directly on a cheap foam brush and brush it on. It comes out very smooth. You still have to tape the area off but not as much because there is no over spray. Also for the best results use a degreaser or wipe down the trim with alcohol. Paint does not like to stick over wax.

So far so good..
I bought this to paint the bumper and grill of my 2000 Cherokee Sport Black. Initially I wasn't very happy but by the end of the day I was satisfied. When I first painted the headlight covers the paint beaded up on the surface. I was like "What the hell, I thought his was supposed to be good paint!" If you actually read the can it says to prep the surface that you are painting. I had cleaned the headlight covers but then after reading the can I decided to go buy some primer. I bought the black Rustoleum 2X primer, it was $4 for a can. It went on without beading and dried to a nice flat black color. I then painted the pieces with the VHT trim paint and it went on smooth this time. I like the sheen of the VHT trim paint. It is kind of a satin finish. I didn't want a really glossy finish for the grill and bumpers. I am happy with the paint right now and will update this review if I come across any issues with it. ______________________________________________ When I purchased this it was $8.60 for the can. I came back to get another can and saw that it went up to $12. That's too much. I came back a couple weeks later and now the price is $18. You have got to be kidding me! For $8 this is good paint. For $12 I decided to get the Rustoleum bumper and trim paint. It was about $5 per can and did a good job.

Perfect for bumpers/plastic cladding on Jeep Grand Cherokees
Once you use this product you WILL NOT use any other automotive spray paint on the market. While searching on amazon a year ago I decided to pick up a single can of this product. It's set on the shelf for the most part of the year until I finally decided to tackle the plastic bumpers and cladding on my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I couldn't find additional products of this in local stores so I bought Rustoleum bumper paint. BIG MISTAKE! While I believe Rustoleum makes a great product I would just use their bumper paint on metal bumpers. After two coats of Rusteoleum on my back bumper I was not happy with the outcome. It looked like I was using the $1 can spray paint. I sanded it down and then begin using VHT Black Hood Bumper, and Trim Paint and all I can say is WOW! VHT makes an excellent product and I'm never going back! It sprayed on like butter and gave me the look I was looking to get. I ended up using the can I had on the back bumper and grille. I ordered this case and had to wait a couple of weeks for amazon to get it back in stock. It arrived today and I CANNOT WAIT! to finish the rest of my cladding and front bumper. VHT will not disappoint! I have to put 20 more words so I don't know what else to say other than this product is EXCELLENT!!!!

Awesome Paint!
Probably the best bumper/ plastic paint I've ever used! Probably all I'll buy in the future. I re painted the black plastic on my Silverado. Everyone thinks they are new parts. I've been through the car wash several times and no peel or chipping. Nice job.

Complete garbage
In short, stick with the Rust-Oleum product. This stuff is cheaper for a reason. I’ve used trim paint very often over the years and I know how to prep the surface to be painted. The Finish is streaky and discolored, it’s already peeling in some spots, the nozzle clogs… it’s just junk
