Perfect replacement remote
Great remote for my Vizio Soundbar. Lost my original remote and this replacement worked perfectly.

Phones aren't meant to be remote controls
Don't second guess getting this. The sound is so much better. Yeah you can get good sound through the app but personally having to use my phone for the volume on my tv is something that I find to be ridiculous. Really glad that I bought this and yes all that is required for it to work is 2 AAA batteries. No set up required. The backlit screen is great. If only I could something like this for my SONOS products.

Works with VIZIO 5.1 Soundbar SE (SV510X-0806)
I couldn't find any confirmation anywhere if this would work with my Works with VIZIO 5.1 Soundbar SE (SV510X-0806) so I took a chance and ordered. Since this soundbar doesn't come with a remote included and you have to use the app (which really sucks, btw), I needed a solution. TL,DR; it DOES work. Trust me. Get this and dumb that POS Vizio app.

Works great with the Elevate 7.1.4 Pro soundbar I just bought. Was looking for a remote that might work, since the Elevate doesn’t come with one and the app is annoying. Having to get up and grab my phone or tablet, open the app, wait 20 seconds to connect every time just to make some change. It even allows for some functions not in the app. Like having the bar read out the format status and what not.

Actual Vizio remote. Plug & Play...
I was hesitant if this was an actual Vizio sound bar remote, but upon inspection, it has all the same markings, buttons and has Vizio logo on front. This is a plug and play remote. Put your batteries in and turn off and back on the sound bar. Does not include the two, needed, AAA batteries. Highly recommend this remote over cheaper options

Excellent Replacement Remote
I was replacing the silver remote that came with my soundbar that I bought quite a few years ago. I never did like the remote that came with it. The buttons were awkward and there was no backlight so I could never see what I was trying to do. This new one IS backlight and I love it!!!! It's much easier to use with key buttons directly on the remote.
