Abbey Aluminium Multi-Purpose Ladder 3.4m with New Safety Platform MPL34

Very pleased with these ladders and the seller. Item arrived four days earlier than stated. The seller had just sent me an email to say the item had been dispatched and within an hour they arrived at my door. I was very surprised to say the least as i was not expecting them for a few days. I have opened the package and attached the stabliisers which is the only assembly required (4 bolts). So happy with the quality of these ladders as they seem very sturdy and secure. Included is two metal plates for the platform and a handy shelf to attach and sit tools or paint on. They are heavier than I expected but I suppose this is why they are super sturdy. I will use these from so many things around the home aswell as cleaning my caravan. These will make cleaning the van roof very easy. I looked at many of these combination ladders before purchasing, this set from Abbey stood out and ticked all the boxes while being very well priced. Highly recommended

After deciding to decorate the hall and landing purchased these steps to make life a little easier. Service from supplier was excellent, arrived two days earlier than stated with trackable order to ensure I did not miss the early delivery. The ladders seem well made and quite sturdy whichever of the many positions you decide to use, the work platform is very handy and with the aluminium plates across feel strong with only a small amount of flexing, the step shelf is a very good accessory which is normally an optional extra with other suppliers. They are a little awkward until you get used to the various positions available (make sure they are locked into position) but are excellent once you get the hang of it. I do agree with some reviews that they are a little cumbersome and not something you would want to get out every time you want to change a bulb but are superb for so many of the bigger jobs around the home and garden. Excellent value and good quality, but I would still keep a set of lightweight steps under the stairs for those quick 5 minute jobs.

An excellent piece of kit - needed to replace a 30 year old step ladder and after a lot of looking on Amazon and elsewhere went for these. Very glad I did ! Sturdy, well made and very versatile. There are a few one and two star reviews saying they are hard to use- I would disagree: the locking levers simply lift to unlock and self lock in position as required. Somebody even says they cant worl out how to fit the "shelf" or the platform.. simple answer is to lool at the photos on the description - its very simple. All in all, great set of ladders and great customer service too , same day dispatch, free 2 day delivery. What's not to like?

Purchased these as I needed to do some jobs requiring transporting a ladder and didn't want to bother with a roof rack. They fit in my car easily with the seats down. They aren't too heavy and are fairly easy to adjust once you get the hang of it. I've found them to be very sturdy and have used them as a step ladder and a conventional ladder.

Very nice ladder, have been using it for a bit now. Used it to paint over the stairs, perfect for the job. Seems very well made and provides you with confidence when using it. It is a touch on the heavy side but that is to be expected.

Buyers beware. Although this is a good product, you must bare in mind that anything with moving parts takes a while to loosen up. This product is no exception to that rule. When used the first time it is very frustrating, the hinges and springs are very stiff indeed and almost impossible to use properly, but do not despair, apply some WD40 liberally to all hinge and spring mechanism's. In fact do this as soon as you unpack it, while it is still folded up and leave for an hour.You will be amazed how easy it becomes to operate. Hope this is of use to future buyer's.

Does everything I need it too.

Just received and assembled it. The material feels solid enough and still lightweight (easily moved by a single person). Worried most about platform mode but after trying it seems all joints are solid (man + tools = 80kg). Platform mode is almost 90cm tall so probably overkill for indoor work. Beware to wear gloves in assembling as some parts have sharp edges, but for use it is pretty safe. And the manual has too small fonts to read, it might be better to enlarge it 2x and print into 2 papers.
