Superb Firewood Rack - Well-Made and Sturdy
Previous winter's wood piles have been unsightly at best. Why it took 6 decades for me to muster the desire to get a little more organized and prepared...I cannot explain. Ahhh...your first thought was laziness! But your first thought would be incorrect. There is nothing lazy about dealing with firewood for the winter season. This product is about creating a more organized and efficient storage for your stove's fuel. I have an inside dry storage area for the bulk of my firewood but it is some 20-30 yards from the house and that trek is a little more daunting when there is deep snow between me and my beloved old Buck Stove 27000 insert. Truckin' my 2 wheeled cart loaded down with 16" cherry and hickory chunks during those heavy snow times is not my favorite thing to do and the wife frowns on a measly few sticks remaining on the back patio when the weatherman is calling for some accumulation. But, as wives tend to be, she also doesn't like the unsightly random "pile" of wood close to the house even if it is out back. Enter the Landmann Firewood Log Rack. Easily assembled, this log rack storage solution has made me look like someone who actually knows a thing or 2 about being prepared. At least to my wife. The kids visiting the other day asked if I was a "prepper" now? I informed them that if being prepared was being a prepper...then, Yes, I was to be addressed as Dr Prepper. "But Daaad...you have so much wood stacked out there !" I will be certain to remind them of their observations when the juice goes out in the middle of a big snow storm later this season and they all come back home piling up in my den with cozies and fleece to watch movies and wait out the storm. And I'll be sure to be drinking a tall glass of Dr Prepper while reclining next to the warm fire when I recall the words. This rack holds a lot of wood and I'm glad now that I went with the 8 footer rather than the 4. Serves me well. After addressing the easy assembly, there is not a lot left to be said other than it's sturdy and once hardware is tightened, the rack does not move. Loading the wood properly aids in it's sturdiness. A previous reviewer mentioned a helpful fact concerning the length of the sticks you place on the rack. If your firewood is cut short, as mine is for the Buck insert, you will want to check the width of the bottom rack to make sure your cut wood will not fall through the span. I just placed some longer pieces for the bottom row and it was fine. But, as the other reviewer noted, placing a run of plywood or suitable base on the bottom prior to loading short wood will take care of that little problem. The cover as of this date has not been updated apparently. It is very cheaply done and I don't expect it can last very long. I opted to get the cover with the rack in spite of the reviews for the cover. My mistake. I could have applied that extra $10 or so to another, better made cover and I'd been happier but I am reviewing the log rack today and it is very well done. Cover looks nice enough...it's just the plastic tie straps (3 pairs on the front side front top to bottom) are attached in a manner that will almost certainly pull loose during your first install. Take care in this area if you opt for the cover. Blistering winds that surely will come will make this cover useless in short time. This thing is well-made, sturdy as it can be, and extremely practical. I’m buying another one of these for a family member. I like it that much. You won’t be disappointed.

6 foot firewood rack, seems sturdy.
Just got it so not sure how long it will hold up, but it seems well designed. Got the 6 foot one. Easy to put together.

Excellent size and quality of cover, only downside are the fasteners
We opted for the larger size rack (2 section) to allow better wood drying and storage capacity. The rack was well packaged and instructions easy to follow. Assembly was very quick with the only time needing to review the instructions were to confirm the correct placement of the 3 support bars (inside vs outside and upper vs lower). The reason for the 4 star is the quality of the screws included with the rack. The Phillips head screws are fairly soft metal and easily stripped. I was using generic ratcheted screwdriver and crescent wrench for assembly and not a lot of force and had 4 of the 12 begin to strip. The rack wanted to bow out a bit but putting wood on the rack straightened it out and I went back and tightened any lose fasteners. 1 item missing from the instructions that should be noted. Placing the legs of the rack on hard surface, I used paving stones. Wood is heavy and if put on the ground directly it can sink over time and lead to the bottom of the rack rusting prematurely. After assembly I loaded the rack to about half capacity, all the cut and split wood I currently have, and it was very stable and had no movement side to side or back and forth. The cover is excellent quality and design with 2 vents to reduce moisture, allowing for better drying and preventing mold/mildew build up. The bottom has 2 clasps to ensure the cover will remain on the rack in winds, and the hook/loop in the middle allows can be secured to the ends allowing easy access of the wood. The cover is thick and moisture proof coated. What I really like is the design and quality of the cover, much better than using a tarp! The frame itself is sturdy enough and there is no sign of trouble with half a rack of wood. Total assembly time was around 15 minutes including getting the support stones spaced correctly and in the ground. Putting the cover on was pretty quick in just under 5 minutes with tie-down straps and bungee tightener at the bottom. The rack has already been through 1 windy rain storm and had no issues. It is rock solid and I am very pleased with the final product. What I didn't like was the quality of the screws as the heads were fairly soft and easily stripped. Un-packing the rack I found 2 end caps that look like they were forced into and fell out of the pipe ends. I was able to get them in with use of a screwdriver without much effort. The weight of the rack over time will keep them in place so it wasn't much of an issue for me. Fit and assembly was quick enough but the rack was bowed in the middle until I got the first row of wood on it. Due to the screws tops being so soft I didn't want to risk loosening and re-tightening fully stripping out the heads, I just tightened the nuts after the rack was straight.

Firewood Holder
Easy one person assembly. All parts were located in the box and happy with the purchase. Quality product and will be great to hold/organize wood outside. Added bonus is the cover, add pavers under the legs for stability.

Poor quality, not worth it
The pros: It came with all the required parts, and is easy to assemble. The cons: When the box arrived, it was smaller and lighter than expected. That's because the rack is broken down into a number of little pieces. Once assembled, it doesn't look as heavy-duty as the photos, and feels unstable. Even with the cover, this doesn't seem worth it's cost. I have found a better option at a cometitive retailer.

Super pratique et esthétique. Le serviteur est à porter de main et les ustensiles ont l’air assez solide pour le moment. Très facile à monter.
