My dog has a chronic medical condition called Inflammatory Bowel Disease. She's been on a special diet for over a year and started on high doses of steroids when first diagnosed. We added this product while we were lowering the dose of meds & while she's still on medication, this has helped stabilize her and she's been eating better & doing better. If this is prescribed by your vet, or your dog has been on this medication, tho, be careful. I originally was going to order this thru the same online store where I get her prescription food. Not sure what made me check the ingredients, but I did. I noticed the ones offered thru the other store, tho the name & packaging was EXACTLY THE SAME, did not contain Brewers Yeast. I contacted them to verify & was surprised to be told the online ingredients were correct; no brewers yeast. The Fortiflora prescribed & provided by my vet did have brewers yeast, so I didn't want to take a chance given this was for medical reasons. I was happy to see this ingredient in the Fortiflora offered by Amazon AND it was half the price of the same item when bought thru our vet. So just check the ingredients. But if your dog has a digestive issue, this added to his/her diet can make a difference!

Best probiotic for digs

The product I ordered on July 16, 2021 had an expiration date of July 13, 2021! I arranged for a return and replacement. The replacement had an expiration date of July 13, 2021! I have returned the material and will buy from a different vendor in the future. I have treated my dog daily with Fortiflora for four years, and it has helped with his digestion. Thus, I highly endorse the product but would not trust Amazon with future health-related products. It is terrible to sell defective products that are necessary for maintenance of health, not to mention that the product is extremely expensive.

My vet carried this probiotic but she charged much more than buying from a store. Each individual package is measured and sealed (keeping the good bacteria in dark and alive). My dogs stool firmed up because he needed probiotics. Probiotics keep their intestines healthy. I bought the 180 packets. It came 30 in each of the 6 individual boxes. I liked it being packaged this way. I shared it with some of the people who own my puppy’s siblings. I highly recommend Purina ProPlan Probiotic.

Suppose to give a pack a day to my dog. And the six boxes I was sent literally expires the following month. meaning I’d only get to use one box out of the six total. Sending back for a replacement but I have a feeling I will be sent another recently expiring box. Update: The replacement boxes sent are better and expire almost a year from now. So definably double check the dates as soon as you get your order. It seems to be a very common problem with this item. Hopefully when I order again in 6 months I won't have to run into this same issue again.

I ended up getting the product early. I use this product all the time as do my clients. I was suppose to get it later but I eneded up getting my product 4 days earlier.
