Does this unit come with any earbuds?

They usually don't and the description doesn't include them so I would bet the answer is "no".

What all does this come with? Wires? If not, what wires do i need?

It comes without any wires. You need to have a Cat6 Ethernet cable and 6MM Jack for headphones.

The older 16 channel units could be chained together in series, i only see one cat5 port. is that no longer possible or am i missing something?

The newer model cannot be chained together. You have to use the Aviom D400 A-Net distributor for multiple mixers.
