My cat loves these. His favorite treat.

These are very difficult to swallow, which is unusual for me. Part of the problem is the size and part is the texture (very dry and not smooth). I have to literally take one at a time with an entire mouthful of water.

I've tried cooking with brewer's yeast for the health benefits, but results have mostly been hit-and-miss. Based on that, I determined that supplementation would be a better alternative. These tablets from Piping Rock seemed like they'd be worth trying, and based on the folks behind the brand it seemed to be one I could trust. After several weeks of taking them daily, I'm pleased with the results. I expect a good part of my satisfaction comes from the B12 component, but the overall benefits to my day-to-day health are noticeable enough for me to continue taking these. I will say that the size of the tablets runs to the larger end of things, so if swallowing supplements and pills is challenging then these might also be. My overall experience has been one where, if I forget to take them for a day or two, I start to notice that something feels a little off. There aren't many supplements I've tried that have made that level of contribution to me, so I'm reasonably sure that I'll be reordering these after this bottle runs out. As with any brewer's yeast product, there is the brewer's yeast smell... it's unavoidable. It's not a bad smell, by any means, but it's not exactly a rose garden either. I find that washing my hands after taking them is a useful step. Some folks will probably notice that more than others, but that's my experience.

Very Good for Health

The Brewer's Yeast is for my cat. Every day I place a tablet in his food. He likes the taste of the yeast and regards it as a special treat. The yeast provides him with extra B vitamins. One of the vitamins in the yeast is vitamin B1, thiamine. Many people believe that thiamine repels fleas. This has not been proved. However, since the cat likes the yeast, he gets it on his food. Also, he does not have fleas. The 500 tablets in the bottle will last for over one year.

Note that this product consists of 500 tablets of 500 mg each. The label wrongly states that each tablet is 2000 mg.
