Great for heat & smoke management
Applied this on my Kettle Joe grill/smoker. Really helps to retain smoke from escaping around the kettle lid, manage heat & also enhances shut down which saves on charcoal use. Easy to install & stays attached.

Perfect to reseal your clothes dryer.
I needed to reseal my clothes dryer to prevent fine lint from being blown out into the laundry room. This worked perfect. Thickness was correct, adhesive was strong on initial application. 15 feet was just enough to reseal everywhere that originally had factory foam sealant applied. Can't comment on long term durability, but based on the material its made from, I think it'll outlive the dryer.

Great for budget smokers
Almost all smoker grills need extra gaskets added to hold the smoke. The factory installed gasket was useless. This product has worked well. I took one star off because it could be a bit thicker, and the adhesive is not great. I had to buy an additional high-heat adhesive for it to stay put. It's not a pro solution, but it definitely makes a huge difference on my budget smoker.

Great product
I recently installed the FireBlack Hi-Temp Gasket on my smoker, and I couldn't be more impressed. The installation process was incredibly easy, making it a hassle-free upgrade. The gasket looks great and provides a perfect seal. A quick tip for those looking to install this gasket: make sure your surfaces are very clean. I found that using alcohol makes quick work of cleaning the surface, ensuring the best adhesion. Overall, the FireBlack Hi-Temp Gasket is a fantastic addition to any smoker, offering both aesthetic appeal and exceptional functionality.

A Must-Have for Perfectly Sealed, Flavor-Packed BBQ!
I recently paired the Fireblack® Hi Temp BBQ smoker Gasket Self Stick with my Louisiana Grill vertical smoker, and the results were nothing short of spectacular. 1. Seal Integrity: This gasket offers an impeccable seal, locking in all the flavorful smoke where it belongs: inside the smoker. Say goodbye to leaks and hello to more robust, smoke-infused flavor in every bite. 2. Easy Installation: The self-stick design made installation a breeze. No fuss, no mess - just peel, stick, and you're ready to smoke. 3. Heat Resilience: Capable of withstanding the high temperatures of serious BBQing, this gasket is built to last. I've used it repeatedly with no signs of wear or degradation. 4. Economical Efficiency: By preventing smoke escape, it conserves both fuel and wood chips, making every smoking session more efficient and economical. 5. Enhanced Performance: Since fitting this gasket, I've noticed a definite improvement in the consistency of my smoking sessions. The flavors are deeper, richer, and more uniformly distributed. The Fireblack® Hi Temp BBQ smoker Gasket isn't just an accessory; it's an essential component for anyone serious about their BBQ. The improvement in flavor and efficiency makes it a no-brainer for Louisiana Grill vertical smoker owners. Happy smoking!

Good product. Easy to install.
I had none of the problems other reviewers noted. It cut well. The backing peeled fine, and it has remained stuck to the smoker surface soundly. I did prepare the surface like I would for anything I was preparing to stick something to with an adhesive: I cleaned the area around the door opening with a general cleaning spray on a cloth repeatedly changing spots on the cloth until no color (from soot and ash) was visible. My Treager Pro 575 smoker has an excellent power coat paint (or hammer finish enamel. I don't know which) that is shiny. Then I used denatured alcohol (or rubbing: isopropol alcohol will work too) to remove any detergent residue until the cloth showed no discoloration again. Then peeled and stuck the strip of material WITHOUT STRETCHING it, cutting to length after getting close to the corners with an exacto knife with a new blade through the backing and then through the rest of the material. That works better than scissors for sticky-pad type materials. Then peel and stick the remainder to each corner for a perfect fit. The smoker keeps heat in much better than before especially when windy - and is surprisingly quieter than before while running. It also is a quiet-close smoker now. No clanking when closing the lid. Just a dull thud.

Does exactly what it was meant to.
I got this gasket to put around the firebox door for my Dynaglo smoker. It went on smoothly. The self-stick backing was a little tricky to peel in a couple of spots, but otherwise it gave me no issues. Stuck perfectly and has held up through a couple of smoke sessions and some inclement weather with no problem. I thought it would be a little bit thicker but the size is clearly disclosed so that's on me - just remember that 1/8" isn't as thick as you might think. It is doing its job by making a tighter door seal and preventing excess smoke escape. It's made of a coarse felt-like material, not a solid foam or silicone, so expect that. I have no complaints.

Stinks
I used this on my wood stove door. It sealed up the door good and with no problems. It is staying in place but this 💩 stinks. There's an odor the seal gives off when the stove warms up. The temp of my wood stove isn't even that hot, under 400°F. I might ditch it and try something else that doesn't stink so bad.
