C-2

Great for drum overheads panned hard left and right with another good condenser mic straight up the middle to add more body fullness but thats just because I can and not a statement about the quality of these mics cause they sound just fine without the extra mic . The stereo bar is a nice addition even though im not currently using it with these mics but with some others and the carrying case is handy. Wind screens are going unused and dont see them ever having much usefulness but ya never know and its good to have em handy if the situation arises that they are needed. For the price i am more then happy.

My daughter's show choir operates on a very tight sound budget. It was an absolute requirement we spend our money wisely and still get quality sound. After reading other reviews on these microphones (both good and bad), we purchased two sets of these for our end of the year school program. The students sing jazz and pop music. Many songs were acapella. Before the purchase, I compared the specifications of the C-2 to several more expensive microphones. The Behringer C-2 microphones were reasonably sensitive and offered the prospect of good feedback rejection with their pickup pattern. In the end, while wanting to purchase expensive microphones (because you get what you pay for most of the time!), we bought the C-2 instead and absolutely could not have been more pleased with their performance. Like other reviewers, it is my opinion for the price, these cannot be beat. I have a reasonable ear (not professional at all) and it is my opinion there is not a significant improvement in sound between these and other more expensive mics. With special monitoring equipment, you might detect small sound differences but probably not important enough to warrant the extra $$. After all, in live stage performances, it is about being heard clearly and controlling feedback. These microphones deliver at a price point that is unbelievable. We do not need more expensive microphones. These fit our needs perfectly. I firmly believe you get much more than what you pay for with the C-2. Buy them. I do not believe you will be disappointed. I posted a video review here on amazon and also several audio recordings on my YouTube channel of the live performance. Here is the link: THEmlcollum https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCM91YH0lZrrTgFfd_BQ2h0g Put on a good set of headphones and listen for yourself. Hearing is believing!! I believe you will be equally impressed.

Compared to other matched cardioid condenser microphones, these are a true bargain. Because of the low price, I was skeptical about their performance, but after reading numerous positive reviews, I pulled the trigger. I am not disappointed at all. I've installed this matched pair of mics in our church sanctuary as stereo room mics, to capture ambient noise, the audience and minor reflected sound. This helps add to a real-life feel for our live stream. They are perfect for this application. Mounted to the ceiling and pointed towards the audience, they pick up the detailed noise of conversation, clapping, singing and some stage reflections. The built in low-pass filter helps tune these to reject omni-directional bass and instruments. They are easily operated using the 48-volt phantom power switches from our mixer and with crisp highs in the 20K range, even the lightest high-end noise is captured. The bodies are cast from durable metal, and they include mic clips, that are dual-threaded for easy mounting. Time will tell if these will remain functional for years to come, but after tailoring these with EQ, panning and some delay on one side, they are impressive, and have already greatly improved our live stream. Highly recommended...

UPDATE: 1 star knocked off for faulty assembly or design that allowed the exterior switch to fall out after three uses. [See photo] This switch changes a much smaller switch on a circuit board inside the mic that you do NOT want to poke with a pen! SUGGESTION: If you find a setting you use all the time, put a bit of tape on the switch. Still a good mic for the money. #### I am a radio pro, decades in the biz, but a NOT a person who records music. These work great for my interview needs in and out of a studio. I bought a second set to use with multiples guest as my P4 recorder accepts 4 mics. Things to know: These are "condenser" mics using XLR cables [not included] and MUST be plugged into something providing "phantom power" through the cable. This means a mixer or a decent recorder. You cannot plug these into an iPhone, tablet or small business recorder and use them. These mics use the popular "cardioid" pattern perfect for voice and some music. Experiment with holding them nearer or farther away to find the "sweet spot" for your voice. There are three settings that essential adjust the sensitivity of the mic. Experiment with each, as the results are quite different. Use the foam covers that come with them. Do not hand-hold them. Mic holders are included but not mic stands. Store them in the padded plastic case they come in. Get GOOD shielded cables to avoid interference from computers, etc. MUCH better than the no-name brands with fancy looking grills and LED lights.

I've been using the Behringer C-2 matched studio condenser microphones for various recording projects, and they have proven to be a reliable and affordable option for capturing high-quality audio. Here's my detailed review: Pros: Matched Pair: The C-2 microphones come as a matched pair, ensuring consistent audio quality between the two. This is particularly beneficial for stereo recording applications like drum overheads, choirs, and live performances. Affordable: One of the standout features of the C-2 microphones is their price point. They offer excellent value for money, making them an accessible option for beginners and home studio enthusiasts without compromising too much on quality. Good Sound Quality: These microphones deliver clear and detailed sound, with a relatively flat frequency response. They are well-suited for recording acoustic instruments, vocals, and ambient sounds. The low-mass diaphragm captures nuances with impressive accuracy. Versatile Applications: The C-2 microphones are versatile and can be used for a variety of recording scenarios. Whether you’re miking a piano, acoustic guitar, or using them as overheads for drums, they perform well across different applications. Durable Build: Despite their low cost, the microphones are solidly built with a metal casing that provides durability. They feel sturdy and can withstand regular use in both studio and live settings. Accessories Included: The package includes a stereo bar, windscreens, and a carrying case. These accessories add to the value and convenience, making it easier to set up and transport the microphones. Cons: Self-Noise: The C-2 microphones have a higher self-noise level compared to more expensive condenser microphones. While this is generally not an issue for louder sources, it can be noticeable in quieter recordings. Sensitivity: These microphones are quite sensitive, which can be a double-edged sword. They pick up a lot of detail, but they can also capture unwanted background noise if the recording environment isn’t well-controlled. Limited Low-End Response: The low-frequency response is not as robust as some higher-end condenser microphones. This can be a limitation when recording instruments or voices that have significant low-end content. Requires Phantom Power: Like most condenser microphones, the C-2 requires phantom power to operate. This isn’t a major drawback, but it’s something to consider if your recording setup doesn’t already include a phantom power source. Overall Verdict: The Behringer C-2 matched studio condenser microphones offer excellent value for their price. They provide good sound quality, versatility, and durability, making them a great choice for beginners, home studio enthusiasts, and even professionals looking for an affordable stereo pair. While they do have some limitations, such as higher self-noise and a less robust low-end response, these are minor issues considering the overall performance and cost. I highly recommend the C-2 microphones for anyone looking to enhance their recording setup without breaking the bank.

I recently acquired the Behringer C-2 Matched Studio Condenser Microphones, and I am genuinely impressed with the performance and value that these microphones deliver. These compact yet powerful mics have proven to be versatile workhorses, and here's why they deserve a spotlight. First and foremost, the value for money is outstanding. Getting two matched condenser microphones at such an affordable price is a deal that's hard to beat. Behringer has managed to strike a fantastic balance between quality and affordability, making these mics accessible to both beginners and seasoned audio enthusiasts on a budget. The matched pair concept is a game-changer. It ensures that both microphones in the set have identical frequency response and sensitivity, crucial for stereo recording applications. Whether I'm capturing a live performance, recording instruments in stereo, or conducting interviews, the matched pair provides a cohesive and balanced sound that enhances the overall recording quality. The build quality is surprisingly robust, given the budget-friendly nature of these microphones. The metal housing feels durable, and the included mic clips and carry case add to the convenience and portability. While they may not have the heft of more expensive models, the C-2 microphones feel solid and well-made. The versatility of these microphones is a standout feature. Their cardioid polar pattern effectively isolates the sound source, minimizing background noise and delivering focused recordings. This makes them suitable for a variety of applications, from vocals and acoustic instruments to drum overheads and room miking. Setup is a breeze, and the microphones come with a -10dB switch and a low-cut filter to accommodate different recording scenarios. They are also phantom-powered, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of audio interfaces. In terms of sound quality, the Behringer C-2 microphones perform admirably. They capture clear and detailed audio with a surprisingly flat frequency response. While they may not compete with higher-end studio mics, they certainly hold their own in their price range. In conclusion, the Behringer C-2 Matched Studio Condenser Microphones are a fantastic entry point for anyone looking to delve into stereo recording without breaking the bank. Their affordability, versatility, and matched pair configuration make them a valuable addition to any home studio or audio setup. Behringer has once again proven that quality doesn't have to come with a hefty price tag.

They sound great, especially for the price. Having matched mics is nice for stereo recording applications. They feel sturdy. It comes with a stand, foam wind screen, and a padded carrying case. It's not really clear from the pictures, but the stand has a standard mic mounting thread on the bottom with an included adapter. Needs phantom power from a mixer or preamp, so make sure you're setup for it. What else can I say? Super happy with them so far.

Great microphones for cymbals and hi hats. For the price you can’t beat that

Very good while using vtm

I got convinced after going through the international reviews and bought this condensers and trust me, it's the best decision I've made. The sound quality was very good and the range was superb, I first used it at a children's choir show and it picked up the voices very well and clear, yes, mic placing is very important so if you placed the mics at the correct position then you'll get better voice output.
