From the Manufacturer Introducing an all new breed of gravity defying HEXBUG Nanos. These Nano V2 bugs can now climb up vertically, horizontally, around corners, through loops and tubes, to the tip top of any Nano V2 habitat set. The HEXBUG Nano V2 Gravity Loop features an evolved Nano, sporting a new look, with three rubber spines on its back, as well as a new system of tubular tracks that highlight the Nano V2's unique multi-level climbing abilities. The HEXBUG Nano V2 is a tiny, micro robotic creature that uses the physics of vibration to scurry up through multiple levels of tubes, as high as the V2 set will take it, to explore its environment. The quick little critter possesses an uncanny sense of balance, capable of crawling through tubes on its feet or on its back and can pass another bug in a single tube to avoid a traffic jam.

entertaining
I got this for my son's 6th birthday, along with a few other HEXBUG sets. The HEXBUGS are pretty neat little critters, and the kids all Ooo-ed and Ahhh-ed over their ability to crawl through the tubes. It really is like they have a mind of their own. There are a couple downfalls, as previously stated in other reviews, the HEXBUGS need battery changes pretty often. Also, the plastic pieces that connect together on the Loop Set, like seen in the product photo where the orange connects to the white, can be broken fairly easily. We've had a few connectors break. Overall, the kids all enjoyed the set and played with it a lot, it's been a few months now and that excitement has died down, and it sits in a corner of his room, but it's still an enjoyable toy from time to time for him. I got some generic replacement batteries from Amazon for cheap as well, I definitely recommend buying extra batteries when ordering this, you'll want them.

Do your kids like physics and/or watching robot bugs crawl around? Then this is the toy for them!
This was a gift to my 7 year old daughter. She loved it and played with it for hours and hours. It's fun to watch the little hexbugs scurry up the tunnels and it's pretty easy to assemble. The one thing I don't like about it is that the hexbugs use up a ton of those button cell batteries. I'm constantly having to change out the batteries. AG13/LR44 are the batteries you'll need. Don't buy the hexbug brand of these batteries because they will over charge you...But anyway, hours of fun and entertainment. Do your kids like physics and/or watching robot bugs crawl around? Then this is the toy for them

Works well. 6 year old loves it.
My 6 year old daughter said that she wanted a hex bug set with the climbing tubes for Christmas. This was the only one that didn't have bad reviews (where the HexBugs kept getting stuck in the tubes -- which then need to be taken apart to get the HexBug out. Happily, this set works very well and my daughter is very happy with it. It is one of her favorite presents.

I don't get it, but the grandson does!
Honestly, I don't get the attraction of hexbugs, but my 7-yr-old grandson loves this toy, so who am I to judge or question? He played with it exclusively for an entire day after he received it for Christmas--since it was competing with other toys, that says a lot, in my opinion, in the kid-critic category!

Sturdy toy
My grandson bought this with his money and he really loves it! He will set the bug and loop set near him on a table and just let it "run" through he loops. The bug has special construction enabling it to grip the loop so not all Hex Bugs can run the loop.Appears to be very sturdy. My grandson is 7 and hasn't broken it yet.

My grandson likes this and I thought they were fun, but he doesn't play with them as much ...
My grandson likes this and I thought they were fun, but he doesn't play with them as much as I thought he would. They wiggle around and can go upside down, but I wouldn't let them go free on the floor they will go under anything that will let them fit.

It climbs!!
My 3 yr old got this for Christmas and he LOVES it! He loves to make "different" tracks for his hexbug by moving the little barriers that are on the bottom - he could seriously watch this thing for HOURS! The batteries aren't great, but I think that it is well worth the fun my little guy is having with it to have to replace the batteries a little more often than normal!

Bug gets stuck
my two boys love hexbugs so thought this set would be a nice treat. Easy enough to put together , the hex bug has thee leg bristles on its back which should aid it around the track. However the bug just gets stuck all the way round it, highly frustrating even for me to watch it! i don't recommend this one.

Gravity: 1 Hex Bug: 0
The bugs get stuck climbing the tubes at the joint between two tubes. You have to pull the tube apart or turn the whole thing upside down. This happens almost once every minute. It doesn't matter how fresh the battery is (I bought ten new batteries with the set) or how tightly the tubes are fitted together. It's a design fault.Do not buy it unless you like watching your children get very frustrated every few minutes.

Get stuck
The bugs get stuck in the tubes. Bought two, happens on both. I contacted hex bugs and they just passed me around before ignoring me completely. Hex bugs are okay but the veticle pipes do not work.

Constantly gets stuck very frustrating for parent and child
Great idea but they get stuck all the time and extremely difficult to get out !! Not as good as original kits . The new bugs are crazy fast !!
