How is this different from "Boomer," the blue version?

It is the same toy company that makes these buckle toys. The only difference is the Boomer buckle toy is blue and has a different facial expression. Other than that all the features are the same.

It is not foam. It is probably a polyester filling. There is a zipper pocket and a lining covering it.

Can little fingers be caught in the green and yellow buckles?

No. they are harmless. My son plays with it all the time. Their little fingers wont get stuck. It's a pretty good toy.

My granddaughter loves to chew on any strap like these buckles are attached to. Any problem using this toy for this purpose?

Probably not. Just wash it first.
